Job Description:

Provide critical care for post-open-heart surgery and cardiac medical patients in a cardiovascular intensive care setting. This travel assignment includes caring for patients with ventilators and tracheostomies, managing post-cardiac catheterization recovery, supporting postoperative day-one cardiac surgery care, and titrating vasoactive medications. Experience with Swan-Ganz catheters and long-term ventilated patients is required. The unit uses Epic, Omnicell, B. Braun IV pumps, Avea ventilators, and Edwards and Philips monitoring equipment. Expect 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with opportunities to float to ICU, IMCU, ED, and other inpatient units as needed. Travelers receive 12 hours of CVICU orientation during the first work week, making this a focused assignment for an experienced critical care RN ready to settle into a new setting.

Expect crisp mornings, mild afternoons, and cool evenings, with a mix of sunny intervals and occasional rain. Comfortable layers and a light waterproof jacket are useful for exploring the area.
