Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment is for an experienced medical-surgical registered nurse providing overnight care in Scranton. Responsibilities include patient assessments, medication administration, IV insertion, Foley insertion, vital signs, EKGs, point-of-care blood glucose testing, and accurate documentation. The role may include assisting with rapid sequence intubation and floating to other units as needed. Nurses should be prepared for a consistent night schedule and a broad range of medical-surgical needs.

Weather:

Expect crisp, cool conditions with comfortable daytime temperatures, chilly evenings, and occasional rain. Layered clothing and a light waterproof jacket are useful for exploring the area.

Job Specifics:

Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., every other weekend and every other holiday

Hours: 36 hours per week
Requirements: 1–2+ years of medical-surgical experience; BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
