Job Description:

Join an emergency department travel assignment in Shreveport, Louisiana, caring for patients from pediatric through geriatric populations. This role includes exposure to cardiac conditions, stroke, trauma, diabetes, renal failure, infectious disease, and other high-acuity presentations.

You will work 12-hour day shifts on a structured 5/2 schedule, with alternating four-day and three-day workweeks. Responsibilities include IV starts, EKG assessment, chest tube management, defibrillation, splinting, stroke assessments, ICU drip management, and caring for admitted patients who remain in the emergency department. This assignment includes every-other-weekend rotation, no call, and a rare possibility of floating to a neighboring emergency department.
