Job Description:

This travel assignment is for a stepdown registered nurse caring for patients with complex cardiac, neurological, vascular, and medical needs. You will manage telemetry monitoring, interpret 12-lead EKGs, initiate and titrate medications such as antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin, and provide post-surgical, neuro, and dysphagia assessments. The assignment includes 12-hour night shifts, floating within your skill set when needed, and occasional cross-campus coverage with advance notice. Expect a collaborative setting with strong CNA and charge nurse support, along with opportunities to care for patients requiring CPAP, feeding tubes, drains, and other higher-acuity interventions.
