Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment is for an Emergency Department registered nurse supporting a 21-bed ED in Grass Valley. You will care for a broad emergency population, from common illnesses to myocardial infarctions, strokes, and trauma cases requiring stabilization and transfer. The role includes 12-hour day shifts beginning at 6:45, bedside report, telemetry monitoring with EKG interpretation, and a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Weekend coverage is every other weekend, holidays rotate with core staff, and self-scheduling is used after manager approval. Initial facility-wide orientation takes place in Sacramento, followed by one to two days of department orientation with a preceptor. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
