Job Description:

This 13-week travel contract is for an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse in a community emergency care setting. The nurse will care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics, with cases ranging from minor injuries to respiratory illness, myocardial infarction, motor vehicle accidents, behavioral health needs, and other emergent conditions. Responsibilities include emergency assessments, moderate sedation, lumbar puncture support, critical-care drips, blood draws, breathing treatments, and care for patients requiring extended stays during challenging conditions. The schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts, with flexibility for rotating start times, weekends, holidays, and occasional support in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, or ICU areas. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNS or TNCC, and NIHSS, along with an Illinois license.
