Job Description:

Join a specialized SICU nursing team in the vibrant city of New Orleans, where you'll be responsible for providing high-acuity post-operative care to surgical recovery patients, including those recovering from complex procedures like CABG, valve replacements, and transplants. This role involves working night shifts, with an emphasis on managing patients in critical and recovery settings, often involving float assignments to other ICUs and SDUs. You will need to be prepared for potential emergency team activations, staying until the situation passes, and reporting as directed by your unit manager. Epic experience and familiarity with PA catheters and balloon pumps are preferred, along with certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH. This assignment offers the opportunity to hone your critical care skills in a fast-paced environment that is as lively as the city itself.
