Job Description:

Join our team for a rewarding assignment in a bustling Medical ICU and Progressive Care unit in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role is perfect for experienced Critical Care RNs who enjoy a fast-paced environment caring for ventilated patients, managing IV drips, assisting with intubations, and monitoring complex conditions such as sepsis, respiratory and renal failure, myocardial infarctions, and pulmonary embolism. You'll navigate a mixed acuity unit, providing care for both ICU and progressive patients, with more focus on the latter. Expect to work three 12-hour shifts per week, floating between ICU, PCU, and Medsurg units as needed, always maintaining a patient load of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on the acuity. Your expertise and flexibility will help keep this busy unit running smoothly. The equipment you'll utilize includes Phillips heart monitors, Epic EMR, Pyxis, and EKG machines. The atmosphere encourages teamwork and critical thinking, with a touch of Caribbean blue scrubs to brighten the day. This role offers a dynamic clinical experience with the opportunity to make a real difference in patient outcomes.
