Job Description:

This telemetry nursing assignment places you in a 24-bed Med/Surg/Tele unit within a Level 3 Trauma teaching hospital in Shelby, NC. You'll manage a diverse patient population with diagnoses such as cardiac, respiratory, and neurological conditions, often in a fast-paced observation setting. Your responsibilities include interpreting cardiac rhythms, managing non-titrating cardiac drips like Cardizem and Amiodarone, and caring for patients with tubes, drains, and IV lines. Expect to float across facilities within the region, always within your scope of practice, providing expert care to ensure positive patient outcomes on a 12-hour night shift schedule. You’ll join a supportive team with RN-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 during regular staffing, expanding slightly during surge times. Bring your BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, your proficiency with EPIC EMR (minimum six months’ experience), and your basic Med/Surg and Telemetry skills to this engaging assignment.
