Job Description:

Join a dedicated team as a Stepdown Cardiac Registered Nurse on a 13-week contract in Dayton, Ohio. This role involves caring for patients with conditions such as heart failure, chest pain, NSTEMI, post-procedure recovery, COPD exacerbation, and substance withdrawal. You'll be expected to manage IV drips like heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and insulin, while working 12-hour daytime shifts. Unlike typical hospital floors, this unit handles a mix of cardiac cases requiring precise monitoring and quick decision-making. Your expertise in EPIC electronic medical records, along with IV skills, will be essential. The assignment offers a vibrant work environment where your ability to float between units if needed will keep your skills sharp and ensure seamless patient support. Be prepared to interpret EKG strips confidently, and note that prior travel experience is a plus. This position is an excellent opportunity for nurses with 1.5 years of SD/PCU experience and some level 1 or 2 cardiac care background.
