Job Description:

This contract opportunity places you on a 36-bed medical-surgical unit within a teaching hospital known for its Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center certifications. The role involves caring for postoperative patients with diagnoses ranging from bariatric to trauma surgical cases, including hips and pelvis injuries. Your daily routine will include managing general patient care, assisting with mobility, vital signs, and supporting a team that emphasizes teamwork and efficiency. The unit fosters a supportive environment with resource nurses, a 24/7 RT team, and hospitalist availability, making it an engaging and collaborative experience. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts, providing hands-on care in a setting that values skilled, attentive nursing.
