Job Description:

Join us as a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse on a 13-week contract based in Rochester. You'll be responsible for managing inpatient care for cardiac and stroke patients, utilizing your skills in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, and working with Rapid Response Teams. The role involves night shifts of 12 hours, with a patient ratio of approximately 6 to 7 patients per nurse, which can stretch to 8-10 if staff call in sick. Your duties include overseeing patient monitoring, acute interventions, and collaborating with PCTs handling vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living. Competency in phlebotomy and IV placement is mandatory, reflecting the hands-on nature of this assignment. Expect a professional environment where your expertise directly contributes to patient outcomes in a facility equipped with tools such as Hoyer lifts and portable oxygen tanks. Epic charting system experience is preferred, and flexibility is valued as you may float within units like ICU and ED. Dress code is any combo of navy and white scrubs.
