Job Description:

This Medical Surgical RN role focuses on providing comprehensive care to adult patients undergoing medical, surgical, or oncological treatments within a 29-bed unit. You'll work during 12-hour night shifts, with the opportunity to float within your scope to meet the unit's needs. The assignment involves managing patients battling cancer, palliative care cases, and those with urology or telemetry needs. Expect to perform procedures such as central line draws, blood administration, PCA pump management, and assist with bone marrow aspirations. Chemotherapy administration is preferred but not mandatory. This position offers a unique chance to work in a Level IV trauma center while gaining specialized experience in oncology and surgical care. The contract lasts for 13 weeks, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week, and flexible schedule accommodations are considered.
