Job Description:

This contract assignment offers an engaging opportunity for experienced ICU nurses to support a unit during a critical period of transition. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts over an initial 13-week period, with a current weekly commitment of approximately 36 hours. The focus will be on providing high-quality care to adult cardiac/telemetry, stroke, vascular intervention, and hemodynamic monitoring patients. This position is unique in that it requires rapid self-study and mastery of telemetry strips and dysrhythmia recognition before starting in the ICU — ensuring the nurse is fully prepared to deliver lifesaving interventions. Expect to collaborate closely with the healthcare team and manage patient assessments, planning, and interventions while maintaining a professional approach. Occasional on-call responsibilities may arise, with the expectation to respond within one hour if called in.
