Job Description:

Join this 13-week travel assignment on a Neuro-Ortho unit in Parkersburg, West Virginia, where you'll be working 12-hour night shifts. This role is perfect for RNs with experience in orthopedic and neuro-surgical patient care, including elective procedures like joint replacements and spinal surgeries, as well as fractures and general MedSurg cases. You'll be responsible for managing patients through IV fluids and PCA pumps, supporting a team with a bedside approach in private rooms, and assisting with vital signs, ADLs, and Foley management. The unit maintains a staffing ratio of 1 nurse to 6 patients, with a charge nurse available 24/7. You will experience diverse cases and excellent collaboration with PCTs and other team members, all while working in a mostly private room environment. This role provides a glimpse into a busy yet rewarding neuro-ortho setting with a focus on patient recovery and safety.
