Job Description:

This 16-week contract places you in a corrections health unit, where you'll float between Medical-Surgical and Oncology units. Your role involves managing a variety of patients with active oncologic diagnoses, as well as those admitted for surgical procedures, COPD, sepsis, and other complex conditions. The environment is secure and controlled, with access managed by Corrections Officers, adding a unique element of safety and protocol to your workday. EPIC charting is a core part of your workflow, alongside managing medications via Pyxis. Shifts are scheduled during night hours, with 3 rotating 12-hour nights per week, offering a substantial and consistent overnight schedule that keeps you engaged while allowing for daytime flexibility. Your responsibilities include patient monitoring, managing IV therapies, and responding to emergencies, all within a correctional setting that demands professionalism and adaptability.
