Job Description:

Join a skilled step-down RN team in Boone, North Carolina, for a 13-week contract working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This role offers the opportunity to float within the IMCU and Telemetry units, providing a diverse and engaging experience. You'll manage a patient load with a 5:1 ratio, though the goal is to improve to 4:1, caring for a census of approximately 20-24 patients across a 24-bed unit. While peds patients are infrequent, candidates should be comfortable managing them without redirection. Expect to work scheduled weekends and as needed for holidays, with flexible float requirements aligned with your skill set. The setting emphasizes proficiency with EPIC and tele-health experience, along with essential certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. Uniform is all navy or all white scrubs, and local residency restrictions apply, requiring verified driver’s licenses and current NURSYS reports.
