This stepdown cardiac neuro contract offers an engaging opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting, focusing on post-procedure cardiac patients with complex neuro conditions. You will be responsible for managing patients recovering from cardiac catheterizations, stent placements, pacemaker insertions, and neuro events such as strokes and seizures. The role emphasizes precise tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, titrating IV drips, and performing strong neuro assessments. The unit operates on a 12-hour night shift, providing an excellent chance to develop specialized skills in a close-knit team known for low turnover. Unique aspects include cross-campus floatability to nearby campuses and the need for recent Epic charting proficiency, making this a coveted opportunity for experienced stepdown RNs who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
