Job Description:

Join a 13-week travel contract working 12-hour night shifts in a busy Oncology and Trauma PCU at a 28-bed facility in Omaha, Nebraska. As an RN on this unit, you'll be responsible for managing adult patients with conditions ranging from cancer to traumatic injuries. This role involves administering chemotherapy, managing various drips like heparin and Cardizem, and using advanced monitoring equipment such as CVP lines, swan ganz catheters, and ICP devices. You'll be expected to pass a pass/fail skills exam during orientation, with all necessary resources provided to achieve a 90% pass rate. The unit runs a mix of patient ratios—1:4 on PCU and 1:5 on Med/Surg—with opportunities to float across units as needed. This assignment offers a chance to work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a team of support staff, including social workers, educators, and dieticians, in a setting that emphasizes teamwork and respect.
