Job Description:

Join a fast-paced surgical oncology step-down unit as a registered nurse, providing critical care during overnight 12-hour night shifts. This 16-week contract offers the opportunity to work in a busy environment focusing on adult and geriatric patients with complex oncologic diagnoses such as breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary, colorectal cancers, and post-reconstructive surgeries. Your responsibilities will include administering chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and managing oncologic emergencies like cytokine release syndrome. Expect a heavy emphasis on infection control and fall prevention protocols, with opportunities to refine your skills in a vibrant, patient-centered setting. Self-scheduling allows some flexibility, and orientation includes dedicated days to familiarize you with the unit’s procedures and workflows.
