Job Description:

Join a busy surgical center in Gillette, WY, where you'll play a vital role in preparing and monitoring patients undergoing procedures in a 9-bed unit. Your responsibilities will include assessing patient status pre- and post-operatively, communicating critical information to surgeons and anesthesiologists, and executing physician orders with precision. You'll provide essential patient and family education tailored to individual learning needs and support emergency responses when necessary. This role offers a hands-on experience in a fast-paced setting, utilizing electronic patient monitoring systems and computer charting to ensure seamless care delivery. The ideal candidate is a skilled surgical technologist or perioperative nurse with at least two years of OR experience, comfortable with equipment like ECG monitors, and able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients. You'll work 10-hour days on weekdays in a dedicated OR environment, with possible float to the hospital surgery department, throughout a 13-week contract period.
