Job Description:

Join our team for a night RN contract working in the 23-hour Overnight post-anesthesia care unit at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. In this role, you'll primarily provide PACU care for short-stay patients undergoing procedures such as Cath/EP, OR, and Vascular interventions, including TAVRS and GYN surgeries. The position offers a unique chance to work in a fast-paced environment where you'll handle patients in various stages of recovery, monitor complex cardiac drips, and manage post-operative care in a setting that keeps you engaged and challenged. Critical skills include reading tele strips, managing telemetry, and supporting patients through their immediate post-surgical recovery. Expect to float among different perioperative units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork each shift.
