Job Description:

Join this level 2 trauma center located in Rapid City as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This 13-week contract offers an opportunity to work in a busy, high-acuity setting where you'll evaluate and care for a diverse patient population, from neonates to geriatrics. You'll handle an average of 150-180 patients daily across multiple pods, including trauma, behavioral health, pediatric ICU, and adult critical care. Expect to participate in priority patient assessments, evidence collection for sexual assault cases, and urgent interventions — all with a focus on critical thinking and efficient prioritization. This role is perfect for experienced ED nurses seeking a dynamic environment that challenges their skills and offers a chance to contribute to a fast-paced, compassionate team. Be prepared for varied shifts, including nights, days, and weekends, in a facility equipped with state-of-the-art EPIC charting and round-the-clock physician, NP, and hospitalist coverage.

Job Specifics:

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota
Shift: Variable shifts including 0630-1900, 1000-2230, 1200-0030, 1400-0200, and 1830-0700
Duration: 13 weeks, approximately 36 hours per week with a gross pay of $1,888.12 weekly
