Job Description:

Join a Level II Trauma Center in Rapid City for a 13-week ICU nurse assignment where you'll be taking on complex cases involving surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients. This role offers the opportunity to work in a well-established facility with a dedicated team, managing patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, post-surgical conditions, and heavy trauma cases. Expected patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity, with a focus on ventilator management, hemodynamic lines, proning, and critical assessments. The shift is 12-hour nights, demanding strong critical thinking and proficiency in Epic, IV medications, and advanced hemodynamic management. Travelers will support a busy ICU unit that may require floating to other adult units, and must be comfortable with a high level of responsibility in a fast-paced environment. This assignment is perfect for experienced ICU RNs ready to showcase their expertise in a challenging yet rewarding setting.
