Job Description:

Join a facility renowned for its excellence in trauma and burn care as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse specializing in Burn MedSurg. This 13-week contract invites you to work on a dedicated 26-bed unit, caring for adult burn, plastic, and pediatric trauma patients. Your role will involve managing a patient load with ratios of 3-4:1 during the day and 4-5:1 at night, with opportunities to assist with anesthesia-assisted wound care procedures, including the use of Nitrous oxide and EtCO2 monitoring. The shift features 12-hour day hours from 07:00 to 19:30, giving you ample time to experience the city beyond your professional duties. This position offers a unique chance to develop specialized skills in burn and trauma nursing while working within a Magnet-recognized, Level 1 trauma center that champions innovation and learning. First-time travelers are welcome, and some supporting certifications such as BLS are required.
