Job Description:

Join our team as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse on a 13-week contract in Wilmington, NC. In this role, you'll be responsible for caring for adult and geriatric patients with general med/surg diagnoses, including COVID-19 cases. You'll manage insulin and heparin drips, perform wound vac dressings, administer high flow oxygen, and support patients with short-term BiPAP respiratory support. The shift is 12-hour nights from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am, and you'll be assigned to an Inclement Weather Team, prepared to work during storms or disasters. This position requires EPIC experience, BCLS certification, and ability to pass EKG testing. Charge nurse responsibilities are part of the role during night shifts. Expect to float within similar units and work every other weekend. You'll be a key player during emergencies, such as mass casualty events or hurricanes, and RTO is limited to 7 days maximum.
