Job Description:

Join a busy Neuro Medical Surgical unit as a Registered Nurse specializing in neurology. In this role, you'll work 12-hour day shifts, focusing on patients with conditions such as CVA/TIA, seizures, encephalopathy, and weakness, often providing care in a fast-paced environment that keeps you engaged. You'll use Cerner EMR and Omnicell medication systems to manage your patient load, with a patient ratio of approximately 1:6 or 1:7. This assignment offers the chance to experience a specialized neuro setting while enjoying a unique rhythm of every-other-weekend shifts, with weekend work scheduled twice per month. Be prepared to pass EKG testing prior to start and hold current BLS-AHA and NIHSS certifications, with ACLS-AHA preferred. Float requirements and a strict holiday policy mean you'll need flexibility, but you'll gain valuable neuro nursing experience in a vibrant city known for its welcoming spirit.
