Job Description:

Join our team as a CVOR RN in Colorado Springs for a 13-week contract with a chance to experience the unique rhythm of cardiac surgery. This role involves scrubbing into open heart and endovascular cases, helping to hold the heart and assist with closing the chest — a true hands-on adventure in the OR suite. Work 12-hour daytime shifts, with approximately 36 hours per week, and collaborate closely with seasoned charge nurses, house supervisors, and OR techs. The unit fosters a team-oriented environment where your skills in BLS and ACLS are valued, and your experience with complex cardiac procedures will shine. The assignment includes a comprehensive one-week orientation, giving you a solid start before diving into the busy OR schedule, which includes open heart, TAVR, and thoracic surgeries. Flexibility for floating within the general OR and PRN shifts ensures variety and teamwork across the hospital's surgical services.
