Job Description:

This travel nursing assignment places you in the Medical Care Unit of a healthcare facility in West Burlington, IA. You'll be providing patient care for individuals with a variety of medical diagnoses, many of whom are awaiting transfer to long-term care. The unit shares space with an inpatient rehab area, so flexibility to float between the two is essential. Telemetry experience is preferred for this role, as you'll be delivering assessments and interventions to a diverse patient population, including geriatric, medical/surgical, and psychiatric cases. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, offering opportunities to work overnight and experience the quieter hours of hospital life. While you won’t be part of a regular call rotation, occasional on-call duties may be assigned if census drops. During such periods, you'll need to respond promptly within one hour to assist as needed. Your daily responsibilities will include applying the nursing process in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring high standards of care and maintaining professionalism throughout this engaging and rewarding environment.
