Job Description:

This 13-week assignment places you in a fast-paced cardiac observation unit featuring 12-hour night shifts. As a Critical Care Nurse (CCRN preferred), you'll manage a diverse patient load, including low acuity critical care patients awaiting transfer to specialized heart/vascular units. Your responsibilities involve monitoring patients with arterial lines, PA catheters, drips, and LVADs, but you won't encounter ventilators, Impellas, or IABPs on this unit. Expect a variety of cardiovascular diagnoses and high patient turnover, making this an excellent opportunity to sharpen assessment and critical thinking skills in a supportive setting. The shift demands a weekly commitment of 36 hours, over a 13-week period, offering a unique chance to enhance your critical care expertise while working within a dedicated heart service environment.
