Job Description:

This 13-week contract position for an RN in a stepdown unit offers a chance to work with a diverse patient population. You'll be responsible for caring for up to three patients with various medical conditions, including COPD, CHF, DM, sepsis, and respiratory issues, among others. Your duties will involve managing ventilators, trachs, chest tubes, and various IV drips, requiring ICU/Intermediate experience, particularly in vent management and titration. The shift is 12 hours, either day or night, with weekend and holiday rotations. Expect a collaborative environment with charge nurses and auxiliary staff, including PCTs and bedside monitors. This assignment is ideal for nurses ready to demonstrate advanced telemetry, vent, and trach skills in a fast-paced setting, while enjoying some time to explore the local scene during your days off.
