Job Description:

Join a dedicated team of critical care stepdown nurses at North Alabama Medical Center's 2nd floor unit, serving adult and geriatric patients. This role involves managing postvascular procedures, post-CABG recoveries, CVAs, respiratory failures, and heart failure cases. You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, with an expectation of 36 hours per week over a 13-week contract. The unit is equipped with Baxter IV pumps and occasional epidural pumps, and uses the Meditech EHR system. Characterized by a patient ratio of approximately 1:4 to 1:5, this assignment is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses comfortable handling cardiac drips, chest tubes, and TR bands, while providing respectful and flexible patient care in a fast-paced environment.
