Job Description:

Join a correctional health unit as a PCU Registered Nurse, where you'll provide vital patient care within a secured environment. This role involves floating between Oncology Medical-Surgical units and working in a locked correctional setting, requiring awareness of inmate safety protocols. With EPIC charting experience and oncology knowledge preferred but not required, you'll manage active cancer diagnoses, post-surgical care, and various non-oncology conditions. Expect to handle complex medication administration, telemetry monitoring, and invasive procedures, all while ensuring the safety and well-being of staff and inmates alike. The position offers a unique chance to develop skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment with shifts scheduled overnight, providing opportunities for a different perspective on patient management.
