Job Description:

This travel nursing role places you in a busy medical-surgical unit situated in a 30-bed facility renowned for its focus on urology post-operative care and general medical-surgical overflow. As a Med/Surg RN, you'll manage a variety of patient conditions such as sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and pneumonia, along with occasional post-op cases like total joint replacements and abdominal surgeries. The schedule involves 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week assignment, working four days one week and three the next, with a weekend rotation every other week. You’ll need to be comfortable floating across different units within the hospital, supporting a patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6, with additional CNA support. This role emphasizes wound management, telemetry, and cardiac rhythm interpretation, and requires passing an EKG competency exam prior to start.
