Job Description:

This ICU Registered Nurse role offers a unique opportunity to float across various critical care units, including Medical ICU, Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU, and Neuro ICU, among others. You'll work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) for 13 weeks, providing essential support in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. The assignment involves adapting quickly to different ICU settings, often requiring attendance at multiple units in a single shift. Experience with Epic, BLS, and ACLS is necessary, and adherence to UVA’s float policy is required. This role is perfect for nurses looking to expand their skills in diverse ICU settings while enjoying a structured schedule every other weekend and holiday, with some flexibility around time-off requests and block scheduling.
