Job Description:

Step into a travel nursing role built around Labor and Delivery obstetrical care across the antepartum, intrapatum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases. In this assignment in Barstow, you’ll hold shift accountability by applying the nursing process in line with the California Nurse Practice Act and facility policies, bringing critical thinking and scientific judgment to the planning and delivery of safe, organized care.

You’ll also demonstrate leadership through delegation and oversight of assigned personnel, ensuring priorities are carried out with the appropriate level of direction and supervision. This role is ideal for an experienced traveler who enjoys ownership of the shift and the variety that comes with L&D workflows—days run long at 12 hours, with shift times starting around 7:00 AM and scheduled end times around 7:30 PM (days may vary), plus possible on-call needs.

Required qualifications include a current CA RN License, BLS, and NRP, along with at least 2 years of experience and prior travel experience. Please note: this is a PWP facility, meaning vendor payment timing follows facility payment by HWS.
