Job Description:

Take your L&D expertise on the road as a travel labor & delivery professional with a role built around high-acuity, hands-on care for high-risk obstetrical patients. This assignment supports a Level 3 high-risk facility with a unit that includes triage, postpartum, and labor areas, plus dedicated OR capability for C-sections—where you’ll circulate and recover your own C-section patients. Expect a mix of independent, confidence-driven responsibilities including vaginal exams, internal monitor placement, and titration of common labor medications and infusions such as Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, and Heparin. You’ll work 12 hour nights with a balanced schedule process using the TEAM scheduling system, including weekend requirements of every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Orientation for travelers is 3 days to get you grounded in unit workflow, EFM system use (Cerner), and expectations for reading fetal monitor strips effectively.
