Job Description:

Join a travel healthcare team in Puyallup, Washington as a Registered Nurse providing PCU-focused support in a hospital-wide ED-hold floating model. This assignment is mainly based in the ER holding unit, with the opportunity to support multiple PCU float pool teams (including Simplifi Clinical Interviewing) as schedules shift. You’ll support GSH day-to-day operations by covering needs across 1 Daily/2 River North and South/Float Pool Teams, with a fast-paced, high-momentum workflow that changes throughout the night.

Your nights run as an ACLS transport role across the entire facility—moving patients to and from ED, inpatient units, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PACU, Cath Lab, and more. After 2300, transports typically slow, and you’ll transition to the ED Holds Area as a resource—helping with breaks and supporting med administration when you’re not actively transporting. Expect mixed diagnoses and isolation/non-ambulatory needs, with ICU and PCU assignments using acuity-driven ratios (ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4) when applicable.
