Job Description:

Step into an acute care Med Surg Registered Nurse contract in Springfield, Illinois, supporting day shift coverage with a 3x12 schedule (06:45–19:15). This assignment is built for an RN who enjoys staying busy on the floor while managing a Med Surg patient mix that may include trach and laryngectomy patients—training/learning is available, and willingness to take these patients is required. You’ll float within scope as needed to meet facility needs.

The role includes PICC line management and experience starting IVs. Cerner charting experience is preferred, and Cerner will be your day-to-day system. Weekend work is every other weekend. The facility does not offer block scheduling.

You’ll need a minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience, an active Illinois license in hand to apply, and current BLS certification. There is no on-call requirement.
