Job Description:

Join our team at a premier medical care center for a 13-week travel contract as a Medical Surgical registered nurse. This role involves providing specialized post-surgical care to patients recovering from procedures such as Whipple surgeries, vascular interventions, heart cath preparations, bariatric surgeries, ENT, and podiatry. You will be working night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a focus on patient assessments, wound management, IV insertions, chest tube and drain care, medication administration including blood products, and responding to patient needs promptly. Your critical thinking and resilience will be key as you navigate a busy unit with a team-oriented culture, helping ensure patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced environment. A strong expertise in EPIC charting is required, along with certifications in AHA BLS and NIHSS. This assignment offers a chance to experience a dynamic hospital setting while honing advanced surgical patient care skills.
