Job Description:

Join a PCU Float Pool as a Registered Nurse covering day shifts at a Columbus, Ohio medical center. This is a float position where you’ll be assigned within the PCU area and may be required to float to another OSU-affiliated hospital (approximately a 5–6 minute walk), as well as to units with equivalent or lower acuity. Each day is built around a 3x12-hour schedule (07:00–19:30), giving you consistent blocks of time to focus on care coordination and unit workflow.

You’ll need 2 years of experience and be ready for typical PCU coverage demands (estimated ratios of 1:3–4). The role requires BLS and ACLS, plus IV starts and telemetry (tele) experience. EPIC experience is required, and readiness to work across a float pool setup is essential—no commute is required for the alternate site.

Weather:

Expect a mix of cool mornings and milder afternoons, with seasonal change bringing occasional breezy days and a chance of rain. Comfortable walking weather is common, along with cool evenings that call for a light layer.
