Job Description:

Join a travel team as a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Technologist (CST) for Surgical Services in Berkeley, California. This role centers on the scrub person position within the perioperative team, supporting surgical and endoscopic procedures while assisting anesthesia personnel as directed. You’ll be part of a schedule built around Monday–Friday 4x10-hour shifts with variable start times, plus on-call shifts as needed and weekend coverage on a rotating basis.

A key requirement for this assignment is strong ophthalmology proficiency—specifically cataract and vitrectomy. The facility also prioritizes experience across ortho, neuro, robotics, and ophthalmology, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. In this position, you’ll handle preoperative setup using physician preference lists, provide scrub services for major and minor procedures, support specialized equipment setup under RN supervision, maintain specimen care on the field, and complete OR sanitation tasks including processing instruments and refreshing sterile workflow between cases.
