Job Description:

Join a travel Operating Room Registered Nurse team in Omaha, Nebraska, supporting a busy surgical service with a strong oncology and general surgery focus. This assignment is built for a well-rounded OR RN who can float as needed—so you’ll be prepared to work across cases outside the specific specialty you’re hired for.

You’ll bring oncology surgery experience with general surgery experience, with a minimum Level 2 trauma background (Level 1 strongly preferred). The schedule is primarily day shift with the possibility of rotating to nights. Expect occasional off-shifting (1–3 shifts in a week) once every 4-week scheduling period, though it’s often not required. Call duties are part of the role: 1–2 weeknight call nights per week on average, plus weekend call approximately every 4–5 weeks (24 hours covering Saturday or Sunday, plus 1–2 days per month).

Case exposure commonly includes Whipple, esophagectomy, ex lap, bowel resection, thyroidectomy, parathyroidectomy, adrenalectomy (laparoscopic), neck dissection, breast reduction, stage one and two breast reconstruction, free flaps, mastectomy, lumpectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and melanoma excisions. DaVinci experience is highly preferred, and oncology, ortho, and neuro experience are highly preferred. Bi-weekly orientation is provided. This facility is 100% nicotine-free.
