Job Description:

Step into a fast-paced Emergency Department travel assignment in Downers Grove, Illinois, supporting a Level 1 Trauma Center with a comprehensive, high-acuity mix of cases. This 12-hour nights role is built for an ER clinician who can confidently manage time-sensitive priorities—working closely with ER physicians, on-site hospitalist coverage, and RT support around the clock. You’ll encounter a heavy geriatric footprint (predominantly 65+ with multiple comorbidities), plus a strong presence of behavioral health and addiction-related presentations. Typical activity runs high, with an emergency scale that often feels busy—so you’ll stay sharp while delivering consistent, positive patient interactions.

To be successful here, you’ll bring at least 2 years of ER experience (Level I Trauma experience preferred, but not required), comfort with cardiac rhythm interpretation, readiness for critical care drips and vent management, and experience assisting with procedures such as conscious sedation and splinting. Stroke and cardiac readiness matter—TPA administration exposure, NIHSS, and stroke experience are expected. EPIC is required, and essential core skills include IV starts, NGT placement, foley placement, and wound care. If you’re a first-time traveler, this facility is open to you—after the initial unit orientation (1 shift).
