Job Description:

Step into an emergency department role in Charlotte, North Carolina where the pace is real and the work is meaningful. You’ll staff ED shifts covering a wide range of presentations, including stroke, CHF, electrolyte imbalances, arrhythmias, respiratory arrest, sepsis, COPD, falls, and MVCs—supporting rapid assessment and time-sensitive interventions. This 12-hour night assignment is designed for an RN who can bring strong emergency skills, including cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical care drip experience, ventilator/BiPAP management, IV starts, and familiarity with TNK/TPA administration and conscious sedation workflows.

You’ll work with a team that includes CNA support, receptionist/HUC coverage, a charge nurse, phlebotomy for peripheral blood draws, RT 24/7, hospitalist coverage 24/7, and intensivist support in house according to the schedule noted by the facility. The ED uses Epic and Alaris IV pumps, along with Omnicell for medication dispensing, with Phillips monitors and unit equipment including bladder scanners, telemetry, vents, and SCDs.

One unique element of this contract: you may be required to float within the assigned regional facilities as staffing needs arise (decline if not agreeable). If you float mid-shift, you’ll remain on the clock and receive pay for travel time between facilities.
