Job Description:

Join a Travel RN role supporting a Level II Trauma Emergency Department in Wausau, Wisconsin, delivering fast-paced, high-acuity care with the support of an established in-house team and EPIC charting. You’ll cover 12-hour nights in a variable shift schedule (with most shifts falling between 5:00am–5:00pm patterns and the evening/night ranges noted below), where each shift brings fresh learning and real momentum—steady focus, quick decisions, and clean documentation that keeps care moving.

Expect majority shift patterns of 9:00am–9:00pm, 10:00am–10:00pm, and 11:00am–11:00pm, with flexibility that may occasionally shift coverage to 2:00pm–2:00am or 5:00pm–5:00am. You may also be required to float within a 50-mile radius to nearby locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley. Weekend/holiday coverage is every other weekend and every other holiday.

This assignment is ideal for an RN who is resilient, comfortable managing independently, and ready to thrive in a Level II Trauma setting. Team charting is completed in EPIC, with shared department workflows that include RN lab draws, in-house lab support, and neb treatments, plus on-site X-ray and RT support.
