Job Description:

Join a travel labor & delivery team in Kearney, Nebraska, where care happens in 10 spacious, private LDRP rooms and mothers labor and deliver in one bed. This contract is built around 12-hour night shifts (6-6) with a steady weekly schedule of 36 hours, giving you consistent blocks of time to focus on a fast-paced, teamwork-driven unit.

In this role, you’ll work alongside charge staff, a lactation counselor, unit support, and a full care team while managing laboring and delivering responsibilities, including C-section experience (circulating required). You’ll also support a unit flow that includes antepartum rooms, an OR suite, and on-call rooms for providers, with mothers staying close to their newborns in-room (no separate nursery). Expect skin-to-skin practices and a “feeder/grower” style NICU float only when appropriate.

Required credentials include BLS, ACLS, and NRP. FHM is preferred. You’ll rotate weekends every 3rd weekend (with the possibility of adjusting based on unit need) and cover holidays—one major and one minor. For night travelers, strong IV skills are essential, and you’ll also coordinate with continuously staffed RT and pharmacy support.
