Job Description:
Step into a travel Pediatric Respiratory Care Practitioner role where your expertise keeps critical respiratory and diagnostic workflows running smoothly across NICU, PICU, the emergency department, and pediatric & adult acute/intermediate care wards. This position supports respiratory therapies and age-appropriate bedside modalities in line with hospital and departmental guidelines as ordered by healthcare providers. You’ll also perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood sampling, bedside spirometry, spontaneous ventilatory parameters, and point-of-care testing—plus therapeutic interventions including airway management, therapeutic gases, ventilator management, newborn resuscitation, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
On nights with a 3x12 structure, you’ll be part of a team that collaborates closely, trains new Respiratory Therapists and students, completes required competencies and in-services, and stays sharp on equipment and evolving care modalities within your scope. A single touch of fun, but still serious about the work: you’ll bring steady confidence to the night shift “diagnostic detective” moments—pinpointing trends through bedside testing and translating findings into action.
Weather:
Expect mild, often overcast days with a chance of rain. Evenings can feel cool, so layering is helpful.
