Job Description:

Step into a travel Registered Nurse role supporting PACU (Phase 1 & Phase 2) with a strong mix of pre-op and recovery responsibilities in Lumberton, North Carolina. This position rotates through Pre-Op and PACU areas, where you’ll manage post-procedure recovery workflows across both Phase 1 and Phase 2 and step in as needed when patients are boarded due to full census and limited inpatient availability.

Expect a wide range of cases and ages, including pediatrics and adults. Case types include GYN, general, robotics (bariatric, prostate, hernia, gallbladder, hysterectomy), urology, ortho/ortho-spine, podiatry, cataracts, ENT, vascular, and endoscopy (Colon, EGD, ERCP, Bronchoscopy). Your critical care background matters—experience with ICU competencies, hemodynamic drips, and ventilated patients is essential.

Shift structure runs Monday through Friday with a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts (0530-1400 and 0530-1800). Weekend call occurs every 4 weeks (Friday 7p–Monday 6a). A weeknight call (7p–7a) is also scheduled every 4 weeks. Orientation includes 3 days (2 days classroom/education and 1 day with a preceptor). The EMR is Epic, and you’ll use Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis for medication dispensing. RN must hold BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI/MOAB certifications in hand prior to submission.

Expect warm, humid conditions with occasional rain and plenty of summer-like energy. Evenings can feel slightly cooler, especially after passing showers.
