Job Description:

This PACU Registered Nurse position offers a focused experience in a bustling surgical recovery unit. You will be responsible for caring for patients of all ages, post-surgery, in a fast-paced environment that covers multiple operative specialties. Expect to float between pediatric and adult PACU, managing patients through pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery. The role involves a mix of routine postoperative care and emergency response, with the opportunity to work in high-volume surgical suites. The shift is overnight, with 12-hour night shifts on a three-day weekly schedule, providing an immersive experience in perioperative nursing. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, managing pain and postoperative complications, and coordinating patient care in a busy hospital setting. If you're comfortable working in a multi-faceted environment with a focus on pediatric and adult recovery, this assignment will challenge and refine your PACU skills while giving you a glimpse into various surgical procedures happening behind the scenes.
